Bon Accord Care have been engaged in proactive and constructive discussions with their single-shareholder Aberdeen City Council to explore future service delivery models. A number of options were recently presented by Bon Accord Care and Aberdeen City Council to elected members on Wednesday 10th December, and a decision was made that Bon Accord Care will amalgamate with Aberdeen City Council.  

We look forward to this new chapter whilst continuing to deliver high-quality care to the people of Aberdeen within the new structure. This decision further supports our integrated ways of working with key partners and planning for this transition is underway, with the move due to take place during the next financial year, 2026 to 2027.
