This project has been going on for many years, where every Tuesday the service users from Kingwood are taken to the school where they are served a lovely High Tea and take part in the activities provided by the children there.

Then once a month the pupils will come to Kingswood (with lovely homebakes made by the children and staff) to meet the service users that are not able to attend the weekly visit to the school.

This year the team behind the Dementia Cafe were put forward for an Aberdeen City Council Star Award and as a result of their hard work and dedication, won the Innovation and Bright Sparks Award

A huge thank you to everyone who makes this incredible Intergenerational work a reality, thank you to our Kingwood Staff for supporting our service users every week to attend, to Emma, Taylor and the pupils for their time, dedication and kindness, and a huge thank you to ACC transport who turn up every week to make sure that we are there to spend the time with the children. Well done to everyone involved
